Rejection

So as David stood there among his brothers, Samuel took the flask of olive oil he had brought and anointed David with the oil. And the Spirit of the LORD came powerfully upon David from that day on. Then Samuel returned to Ramah. 1 Sam 16:13 NLT

Many times as anointed men and women of God many do not see our gifts and talents. Over and over again we are discounted and overlooked, and sometimes even mocked. How many times have you communicated your dreams and goals to someone and heard “you can’t do that.” Many of us never received the encouragement or confirmation that God has placed greatness in us. So if you have never heard these words spoken over your life let me be the first one. “God has placed greatness inside of you,” if you don’t believe me read his word and it will confirm that you were placed on this earth for greatness to produce for the glorification of God.
David understood how it felt to be left and counted as insignificant in the eyes of man. When Samuel came to Jesse’s house looking for one of his son’s to anoint as king, David’s own father didn’t even think enough of him to allow him to be included in the selection. Can you imagine how that made David feel? Shortly after that his brothers laughed at him when he proclaimed that he would kill Goliath. And even after displaying how the hand of God was on his life Saul became jealous of David and tried to kill him. There is a cost to having the anointing of God on our lives. Never allow others to define what you can do, or who you are, only God has that authority.

Walk in your greatness!!!

Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God. I Cor 1:27-29 NLT

Kingdom Thinking

“What is your servant, that you should notice a dead dog like me?” 2 Sam 9:8

When David summoned Mephibosheth to bless him simply because he was in the blood line of Saul he had a very low self-image of himself, perhaps it was because he was cripple, or the dysfunction of his family history. David however thought highly of him simply because of his relationship with Jonathan and dedication to Saul. Because of relationship David blessed and elevated Mephibosheth higher than I’m sure he ever imagined. As children of God we have been adopted into the bloodline of Jesus Christ that provides direct access to the blessings and power of the Lord. God has promised us abundance in every area of our lives it’s up to us to believe and act in faith on those promises. Anything contrary to God being on our side is Lo Debar thinking; elevate your thoughts to” Kingdom Thinking.”

Christ is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, so why do we walk in defeat and low-living; this is not the plan God has for our lives. YOU ARE ROYALTY!
