Cleave to Him

We are living in a time when things are happening in the world that are unheard of and sometimes even too devastating to comprehend. We are living in the days that the Bible speaks of in 2 Timothy 3:l-5: "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God having a form of godliness but denying its power." The only way to survive these terrible times is to trust and believe in God's word. He is the same every day and concerned about you and every detail of your life. Jesus is the only one who can ultimately give us the strength and courage to survive. These "terrible times" we are living in are no surprise to God. As a matter of fact, Jesus’ crucifixion on the cross has given us power and strength to overcome the circumstances that are occurring today. What a loving God we serve. No matter what you’re going through or how you feel, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding" (Proverbs 35). God will make all of your paths straight, meaning he will make it right, giving you the power and insight to overcome. If you give it to Him He will settle it once and for all. Jesus is the best gift you could ever receive. Hold on to His incomprehensible love. He will not fail you. 

Lord God, thank you for giving us victory to triumph over every situation in our lives through the blood of Jesus Christ. You are our help and strength. Thank you for being our everything. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
