Whiter Than Snow

Come now let’s settle this, says the Lord. "Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow." (Isaiah 1:18 NLT)

Maltese dogs are white all over. When you give them a bath their fur shines like untouched fallen snow. Their only color flaw comes from the natural process of tearing that turns the fur under their eyes red. So you have this beautiful beaming white dog with red stains under their eyes. Since this is a natural process there are no products that will remove this staining. This little dog reminds me of our sinful nature. No matter how well we perform, pray and attend Church services, we mess up. The only way to receive forgiveness for our sins is through Jesus Christ. "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). Salvation and forgiveness of sins come only through Jesus Christ. Although there are many religions in the world there is only one true living God who died on the cross over 2000 years ago for every sin we would ever commit. So we don’t have to condemn ourselves when we make a mistake he covered it a long time ago because he knew we would mess up. If God has forgotten our sins we should do the same. I thank God for not leaving us in our sin but making a way through Christ so that we can have eternal life. Every day, we should declare as David did, "Create in me a clean heart oh God: and renew a right spirit within me" (Psalm 51:10).

Jesus, thank you for making the choice to leave Your heavenly home to come to this earth just to die for our sins, so we could have life and have life more abundantly.
